Our vision at Burlescombe CE Primary School is ‘Climb to your highest, for yourself, for others and for all to flourish’

Our vision is underpinned by the words of Jesus in John 10:10: “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” This promise of ‘life in all its fullness’ guides all that we do at Burlescombe. We want every child to flourish, recognising their unique gifts and potential, growing in confidence and character, and becoming the very best version of themselves. We encourage our children not only to ‘climb to their highest’ for themselves, but also to support and inspire others to flourish alongside them.

Our inspiring curriculum brings this vision to life through a focus on academic excellence, metacognition and character. Children learn through a rich range of meaningful experiences which develop knowledge, curiosity, independence and a genuine thirst for learning. Through our curriculum and wider school life, we encourage children to develop the character and confidence to make a positive contribution to their school, their local community and the wider world.

We are committed to providing the very best experiences for our children through innovation, collaboration and the sharing of expertise and talents within our school, across our Multi-Academy Trust and beyond.
