Burlescombe is a place where ‘every child matters’ can really be seen in action. We believe not only in striving towards high academic standards, but lifelong learning for personal growth; an ethos that is brought to the pupils through dedicated staff and Governors and a commitment to support each child as they journey through our primary school.
At Burlescombe, we create an environment in which all children feel safe, valued and nurtured. We provide a curriculum which is challenging, stimulating and creative; one that inspires children to want to learn so that they are able to become responsible, independent thinkers and learners.
We offer children opportunities to explore languages and cultures, encourage their appreciation and participation in the creative and performing arts and help them to become proficient in using a range of information technology.
We are a healthy and active school community, competing in a range of sporting arenas, where effort and achievement are celebrated by all. If you visit our school, you will be aware of a sense of purposeful calm, of children happy in their work and play.
