Please note that the latest versions of documents will be on our new website.

Burlescombe Primary School is a vibrant village primary school, where every child is valued and nurtured. It is a school where learning and learning about how we learn, is important. This includes children’s social, personal, moral, physical health and development as well as striving for a high level intellectual progress, achievement and attainment.

It is a place that has a hum of busy learners and the smiles of friendship, in our caring community. We have had several outstanding judgements in our last Ofsted linked to personal care and well-being of our pupils.

Burlescombe is a Church of England Primary School and promotes a Christian ethos and values in all sphere of learning.

The School is situated in the beautiful Devon countryside, neighbouring Tiverton Canal and local woodlands. We are 10 miles from Tiverton, 5 miles from Wellington and about 5 minutes from junction 27 off the M5, making the school easily accessible for many surrounding villages.

We are part of a small federation, with our sister school, Webber’s C of E Primary School, just 5 minutes away. This means we can share and expand our learning and experiences. We also work very closely with our neighbours in the Culm Valley Learning Community and particularly Uffculme Secondary School.

You are warmly invited to browse our website to find out more about the activities, events, the Governors and PTFA. More importantly you are personally invited to visit to see active, engaging and purposeful learning for yourself.

Just email, telephone or call at the door it would be lovely to see you and we would be delighted to show you our school.
