The School Vision

“Climb to your highest……. for yourself, for others and for God”

Through our Core Christian Values, we teach children to climb to their highest, being the best they can be in all spheres of life, showing perseverance, responsibility and courage in ways that empower them.

Climb to your highest for yourself, encourages children to deepen their understanding of what they want to achieve from their experiences, embedding perseverance, courage, and truthfulness as virtues of character.  We believe that children are then empowered to be creative, trusting and compassionate individuals that can have a positive impact on others and the wider world around them. We are proud of our Christian ethos and encourage children to draw strength and wisdom from the teachings of God across all faiths.

We are a Church of England School that is truly inclusive and embraces those of all faiths and those with no faith.  As a Church of England School, we are understanding and accepting that God means something different to different faiths. We are proud that our Christian distinctiveness evolves alongside our school community, and we work together to ensure all children flourish and feel inspired to make a positive difference.

Our vision is based on the two commandments given from Jesus when questioned by the Pharisees, written in the gospel of St Matthew 22 v 37-39.

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.  This is the greatest and most important commandment.  The second most important commandment is like it:  Love your neighbour as you love yourself.”
